U4-HP Technical Snapshot
Key charging specifications and battery compatibility of the EV-PEAK U4-HP dual-channel UAV battery charger.
The EV-PEAK U4-HP can be paired with two UB4-Pro units to manage up to eight connected UAV batteries. Each independent charging channel supports one UB4-Pro, with up to four batteries connected to each unit.
The UB4-Pro automatically manages batteries in sequence, prioritizing batteries with higher voltage for charging. This helps reduce manual battery switching during UAV operations.

The EV-PEAK U4-HP features two LCD screens, one for each independent charging channel, providing real-time charging information during operation.
The displays show key information including operating mode, charging current, battery voltage, charging time and battery capacity, allowing users to monitor the charging status of both channels directly.
The EV-PEAK U4-HP uses an aluminum-alloy housing together with two rear cooling fans to help dissipate heat generated during high-power charging.
The active fan cooling system provides airflow through the charger during operation, supporting heat management for its dual-channel charging system.

Answers to common questions about U4-HP charging power, battery compatibility, communication, interfaces and multi-battery charging.
What batteries are compatible with the EV-PEAK U4-HP?
The U4-HP supports 6S–14S LiPo, LiHV and compatible smart UAV batteries. For standard LiPo and LiHV UAV batteries, the charger can automatically detect battery cell count and voltage. Compatible smart batteries can communicate with the charger through the battery BMS.
Can the U4-HP charge two UAV batteries at the same time?
Yes. The U4-HP has two fully independent charging channels and can charge two UAV batteries simultaneously. At AC 220V input, each channel provides up to 1200W charging power and 25A charging current, for a maximum total charging power of 2400W.
What is the charging power of the U4-HP at AC 110V and 220V?
At AC 220V input, the U4-HP provides up to 2400W total charging power, with up to 1200W available per channel. At AC 110V input, the available total charging power is reduced to approximately 1200W.
What charging modes does the U4-HP provide?
The U4-HP provides three selectable charging modes: FAST at 25A, NORMAL at 20A and SLOW at 10A.
Does the U4-HP start charging automatically?
Yes. After a compatible battery is connected and recognized, the charger displays the detected battery information, enters a countdown and then starts charging automatically. The countdown duration may vary depending on the connected battery and communication protocol.
What smart battery communication protocols does the U4-HP support?
The standard U4-HP configuration uses UAVCAN communication for compatible smart UAV battery BMS systems. DroneCAN is available as an alternative configuration, and custom RS485 communication can be provided for specific battery BMS and project requirements. The required protocol should be confirmed before ordering.
What charging and balance connectors does the U4-HP use?
The U4-HP uses AS150U main charging connectors and an MX3.0 balance connector for its 6S–14S UAV battery system. Battery connector and balance-port pinout compatibility should be verified before use.
Can the U4-HP manage more than two UAV batteries?
Yes. Each independent U4-HP charging channel can be connected to one UB4-Pro unit, and each UB4-Pro can connect up to four batteries. With two UB4-Pro units, the system can manage up to eight connected UAV batteries using automatic sequential charging, with higher-voltage batteries prioritized for charging.
What protection functions are built into the U4-HP?
The U4-HP includes over-charge, over-voltage, over-current, reverse polarity, short-circuit and over-temperature protection.
